Art Tour --Murals -- Hans Feibusch

Hans Nathan Feibusch, painter and muralist: born Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, 15 August 1898; died London, 18 July 1998. Last visited Portmeirion in 1976 for Portmeirion's Golden Jubilee. He was best known for religious-themed murals; Portmeirion contains his only known non-religious murals. In 1925 he was commissioned to make a bronze portrait bust of Clough Williams-Ellis with laurel wreath denoting honour for his noble work in rescuing the great palace and landscape at Stowe from destruction and setting up the boys' boarding school there.
