Art Tour -- Trompe L'oeil -- Other
Upper Left: Historical photo showing the corner
trompe l'oeil fountain that was painted in the corner of the Ship Shop wall
when the mural was first painted. It was not restored with the rest of the mural.
Upper Right: The two flower vases on the Gothic Pavilion are
two dimensional cut-outs rather than full sculptures.
Bottom Left: Trompe l'oeil vase of flowers painted by Nigel
Simmons on the side of the Toilets block. Bottom Right: Historical
photo showing how the windows of White Horses used to be painted with a trompe
l'oeil effect that showed what the reflection across the estuary looked like
on those windows.
