This balustraded pond behind Salutation (Ship Shop) is part of the water drainage system that runs down towards the cascade and finally to the estuary. The carved stone balustrade formerly adorned Westminster Abbey in London, but was presented to Sir Clough by the Dean and Chapter in 1972 during the restoration work on the Abbey. |
