Battery Green

The Battery Green is not seen by day visitors. It is a lovely green area accessible to residents of Battery, Pilot, Priors, Government House, and Watch House. The view in the right photo is from within the campanile and shows the landmark mushroom shaped tree next to Watch House.. The green overlooks the estuary and the hotel can be seen from it. There are two cannons near the green at the top of the Battery Steps, giving the name "Battery" to the cliff.
