Amis Reunis

Although this looks like a real boat moored on the quay, it is actually a concrete construction built in 1930 and modelled on Sir Clough's own ketch. It is built into the quayside and marks the spot where the original ketch boat used to be moored. The real Amis Reunis was used as a houseboat, but it was wrecked in the estuary during high winds.

The secret's out! -- you can clearly see the stone floor of the boat in this photo.
