Buddha (Delw Buddha)

This small building in front of the Pantheon contains a plaster model of Buddha, given to Portmeirion by the makers of the film "The Inn of Sixth Happiness" (1958, starring Ingrid Bergman). The plot of the story involved rural China, but much of it was actually filmed in the nearby Croesor and Nantmor valleys.The Buddha was recently gilded.
