Chantry was originally constructed as an art studio for the Welsh painter, Augustus John, but he never took up residency here. Its tower has a painted clockface, which marks the highest point in the village. This picture is from the Village center side. |

This picture shows the back of Chantry from the car park side. Chantry was built in 1933-34, renovated in 1985, and is the second largest self-catering cottage in Portmeirion. |
