Individual Tuition in Drawing Portraits
If you would like to receive one-on-one individual tuition in pen & ink portrait drawing, this is available from the artist, David Lawrence, whose work is featured on this website.
First, you receive a Starter Kit containing all the materials required to get started. This package contains 3 types of Pens, Paper, Drawing Board, Ruler, Pencil, and a Wallet to keep your work in. Also included is an Instructional Manual explaining the order of progress you take through the tutorial.
As you complete each section of the program you e-mail or snail-mail your work to the artist, who replies with recommendations on how best your work can be improved, and suggestions on what you should work on next.
So, this means that wherever in the world you live, - Alaska, Fiji, Estonia, Cocos Islands or anywhere - you can now enrol in a personal tuition program.
How much will all this cost? Very little in comparison with the pleasure you will get from it. The Starter Kit comes to you with everything you need to get your drawing started, on receopt of a payment of US$50. Each consultation with the artist will be charged at US$20. There is no contract or minimum usage fee. Many classes for this type of tuition cost between $45 - $50 per hour. (The Starter Kit applies to the U.S. only. For all other countries students will need to obtain their own materials from local suppliers, but we will specify what you need. However if you live in a remote part of the world we will work something out.}
