Portmeirion Gazebo

The Hercules Gazebo stands at the head of the cascade steps and was built in 1961-62. In fact, it disguises a generator under the floor. The sides are formed by several cast iron mermaid panels, taken from the Old Seaman's Home in Liverpool. The interior is a resting place with seats. The gazebo was painted a terracotto color in May 1999, after having been bubblegum pink for years.
