Danger Man -- Under the Lake Patrick McGoohan starred as NATO Agent John Drake in this half-hour series that was eventually expanded to sixty minutes. This episode has an opening drive towards Gate House, parking near hotel entrance, McGoohan as Drake climbing out of the Hotel window next to end mural and a scene in front of the hotel overlooking the beach. There were additional scenes filmed in Battery Square. McGoohan so liked Portmeirion from his early visits that he choose it as the setting for his cult tv series, The Prisoner.
