Piazza and Arch
![]() |
Covering the northeastern quarter of the village green, The Piazza was originally a tennis court. Since 1966, when Portmeirion celebrated its 40th anniversary, the piazza has been a level paved area with a blue tiled pond and fountain surrounded by flower beds. At the southern limits of the piazza are two - of a set of eight - columns each supporting a gilded Burmese dancing figure. The Piazza is headed by the Gloriette on one end and steps leading down to the Gothic Pavilion on the other. |

Not strictly part of the Piazza, this picture shows the archway exit from a north-south pathway across the green. |
