Clough Williams-Ellis's daughter, Susan Williams-Ellis, is the talent behind Portmeirion Pottery. Originally she designed some souvenir pieces for the shops at Portmeirion Village when she and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis were in charge of the shops. Later they bought Gray's Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, and built a factory for the production of Portmeirion Pottery. |
