Architectural styles seen at Portmeirion

The overall architectural style that is used to describe Portmeirion is Italianate. Italianate style can be as picturesque as the Gothic or as restrained as the classical. It ranges from simple square houses with low pyramidal roof, bracketed eaves to elaborate entrance towers, round-headed windows with hood moldings, corner quoins, arcaded porches, and balustraded balconies.
