Telford's Tower (Twr Tefford)

Portmeirion Telford's Tower

Telford's Tower was built in the late 1950s to commemorate the bicentenary of Engineer and bridge builder, Thomas Telford, who built the Menai suspension bridge. It was restored in 1984. Once again, Sir Clough creates a height illusion by progressively reducing the size of the tower windows, making it seem taller than it really is.
