Portmeirion Toll Booth

The Toll Booth is the entrance to Portmeirion and was the last structure in Portmeirion to be completed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. It was built in 1977.

In May 1999. construction began on a second toll booth, a mirror image of the existing one. The twin booths make a grander entrance into Portmeirion. One is used for cash and the other for credit transactions.

Reduced admission during off season months. The income from the admission goes towards the upkeep of the buildings and grounds. Your admission price will be refunded if you decide to stay the night in the Hotel or one of the cottages.
