Unicorn (Yr Uncorn)

|
Unicorn cottage is a perfect example of Sir Clough's masterful perspective illusion in depth and scale. It appears to be a large two storey mansion, but is in fact, a one storey bungalow. This illusion is achieved by a combination of using a half-sized front gate, converging ground slopes, and small scaled windows. |

Unicorn cottage was built in 1964-65 and resembles a miniature version of the stately home Chatsworth. This picture is of the back of Unicorn. |
